We hold an animal exhibitors license with Denbighshire County Council, and are fully insured and DBS-checked (so you’re in safe hands!).
WHO WE ARE
We’re Allen and Cerries: Chief Rangers of Scaly Safari Co.
Way before Scaly Safari existed, we both had a love for reptiles (and animals in general). Our combined collection of creatures were something we loved to talk to others about - so building Scaly Safari seemed like a natural step for us.
Our passion is sharing this love of nature with others. Whether it’s with children in a playgroup, or elderly residents with dementia in a care home, we want others to experience the joy we get from our fascinating pets.
FAQS

We have a fully-equipped van, which means we can travel pretty much anywhere. We are based in Rhyl, North Wales, and usually spend most of our time in North Wales, the North West, and on the Wirral. If you’re further afield, get in touch - we’re sure we can help!
-
Yes. We hold an animal exhibitors license with Denbighshire County Council, an animal transporter license, and are fully insured and DBS-checked. Copies of our documentation can be made available on request.
-
Yes! The animals that make up the Scaly Safari Crew are first and foremost our personal pets. Most of them are handled daily, and are well-accustomed to human interaction.
With that said, we never forget that these are still animals, and can be unpredictable at any moment. We respect them, and interact with them in a way that is safe for both the animal and the handler.
-
Unfortunately not. The safety, health, and wellbeing of our animals is our top priority, in all circumstances. If the animal is showing any signs of illness (or is shedding), we won’t bring them to your event. No matter what, though, we’ll do everything you can to make up for it, and ensure your event is incredible!

Our animals live with us! Each animal has its own spacious enclosure, with closely-monitored husbandry. No expense is spared in ensuring they live a life of luxury (whether they’re out on visits with us, or at home).
